Bullard Rotary was awarded a District Simplified Grant from District 5830.  The grant will go towards the club's Thanksgiving Project in which fully cooked, refrigerated meals are packaged and given to families in need in the community.  "This year we are going to try to increase the number of meals given out," stated Amanda Chesshir, President.  David Detten, President-Elect added, "Our goal is to feed between 50-85 families in the Bullard area."  Though the grant will not cover the full cost of the meals, the club anticipates that they will meet their goal.  "Our fundriaser will definitely help with this project," Chesshir noted.  The club is not only raising money for this project, but also for the Bullard Elementary Playground Project, the John Edgar Boy Scout Camp Scholarships, and the End Polio Now Campaign.  The Bullard Rotary Fundraiser is a drawing for a John Deere Gator, Apple iPad, Dell Laptop Computer, and a Blackberry Torch.  Drawing will be held on November 12th at the Red, White, and Blue Festival in Bullard.
